After a professional study at the Rijksacademie voor Beeldende
Kunsten (State Academy of Arts) in Amsterdam (1981-1984) with Willem den Ouden
and Paul Overhaus, I was bent to the painting of still lives, landscapes and
portraits.

colours. The expressionist, dynamic compositions are distinguished by vividly
coloured areas, powerful, angular contours and a strong simplification of the
form. Striking is the change of perspective and vanishing point: a risky
